How riverArk payments work

A customer selects Bitcoin at checkout and scans a QR code with a Lightning wallet. The payment confirms in seconds. The sale settles in USD to your own account.

How a payment travels

Your customer chooses Bitcoin and scans the QR code. riverArk generates a Lightning invoice for the amount.

Paying from Cash App, the customer pays from their dollar balance. Cash App converts those dollars to bitcoin and sends it over the Lightning network in seconds.

Strike converts it back to dollars in your own Strike business account. The customer pays the conversion fees, so you receive the full amount.

If you would rather keep bitcoin, you can set that instead.

riverArk never takes custody of funds at any point. Payments move from your customer to your own settlement account. riverArk facilitates the transaction as an agent of the payee.

What this changes for you

Lightning payments are final. There is no chargeback after a completed sale.

Settlement is instant and in dollars, so your books work the way they already do. You are not holding bitcoin unless you choose to.

Your customer needs a Lightning wallet. Common ones include Strike and Cash App.

Pricing you control

Dynamic Pricing sets how the fee works. It is a single setting in your riverArk account, and you can change it anytime.

Add a premium. Set a small premium, up to 5%, and the customer covers your riverArk fee. On a $1.00 item at +2%, the customer pays $1.02.

Offer a discount. Go the other way and give customers a reason to pay in bitcoin, with up to 10% off. On a $1.00 item at 5% off, the customer pays $0.95.
